Issue with Boardmaker 6.1.6 (237) on macOS Sierra 10.12.3. Since we've upgraded we've had regular issues with the program locking up when creating boards. It appears to be a time issue, where if a new board is created and saved right away there is no issue, but if a new board is created, and then stays open for a period of time while someone is working on it or multi-tasking, that board eventually 'locks up' as to where it can't be saved or even closed (it can still be minimized and moved in that state). When this happens it is still possible to create new ones and/or open other existing boards when one or more of the open boards freezes. The only way we've found to clear the frozen board(s) is to completely close down and reopen the app.

Very frustrating as it requires us to get out the external DVD drive again to launch the app and verify the disc again. Prior to macOS Sierra this was not an issue. Also tried reinstalling multiple times from the disc. Any ideas on how to resolve the issue would be appreciated.

Is anyone getting a big white rectangle that almost covers the screen when you start up a file in 10.12.? I can't move it or close it but I can open other apps over it. It goes away when I shut biardmaker down. Boardmaker - could you please work on a fix for these issues???!!

My district cannot afford the web version and we use boardmaker all the time for our students. I would hate to think you aren't updating the cd versions just to force people to buy the online versions. Just think of all the students that we are working with that will be affected.

I have not seen that white rectangle issue before. Could you provide some screenshots of that? Also, does it happen on all your boards or just some? To answer your second request. The software you are using was the 6th generation of that product and was released in 2007. We have maintained, updated, and supported it for 10 years. Much of the technology used in that software is out of date and will eventually not be supported by Microsoft and Apple.

We’d be happy to keep selling Boardmaker with SD Pro forever, but that’s not possible. Our plan is to keep supporting our customers in any way we can, but we are no longer able to update the software to accommodate changes that come from Microsoft and Apple. Hi Brad- I've attached a screen grab showing the frozen white rectangle in Boardmaker with os 10.12. You can't move it, but can move other windows in Boardmaker or other windows from different apps. It won't go away until you quit Boardmaker. I understand the the changes in technology, but your company has always charged a huge amount of money for the applications, with very little discounts for district purchases or multiple copies.
