Ric, where did you get those numbers? My 2013 MacBook Pro 11,3 shows Boot ROM version 148.0.0.0.0, SMC version 2.19f12. My Mac Pro 5,1 has Boot ROM version 138.0.0.0.0, SMC version 1.39f11. Both are running macOS 10.14.1 Beta (18B45d). I have had both running betas of High Sierra and Mojave all throughout, with the SSD startup volumes on APFS.
