Can i use wifi with laptop without key or i want how to know the wi-fi password security without asking the owner. Free editing software like photoshop for mac. Asad [ Reply ] i want u to tell me how to know the wi-fi password security without asking the owner.

There is a problem with the recovery utility. I manage to get to the screen where it asks to re-install os x, however wifi does not connect.

Here are the steps i followed: 1. Switch wifi off, then back on. Connnect to ssid manually with wpa2 password, which was successful 2. Go back and choose reinstall option 3.

Get error message OS X can't be reinstalled because you aren't connected to the Internet 4. Go back to utilities, launch terminal and manually config 'ifconfig.' The IP; Then set default route; Then able to ping any ip on the Internet 5. Retry the install; same error of not reaching the internet!

Launch terminal again, IP & route still works 7. Now giving up on wifi, switch that off and do things using ethernet 8. Repeat the ifocnfig, route, etc 9.

Clearly there is a different problem here. MacBook Pro 13' 2009 model. I'm experiencing the same problem. I installed a new hard drive and am in the process of returning my macbook pro to normal. When my computer is on it can connect to our wifi without any problems (so the password is working). However, everytime I restart, it looses the connection. This never happened before and I can't seem to figure out where I can change this.

Password

But it reconnects as soon as I ask it to and this doesn't require a password. Then in recovery mode, it again asks to connect to wifi. I choose our wifi and have to type a password, but whatever I do, it does not accept the code. It has nothing to do with capslock or anything like that. We are sharing our wifi with our neighbour, so changing the password is not an option. I found a workaround: 1- Go to your router's settings on a working computer and get a screenshot or a picture of the screen or jot down your the router's current wifi settings.

Using maschine studio on pc and mac Answered Follow. Bradley spencer April 22, 2017 15:04. Hi I own a mac and pc, unfortunately my mac is now full on memory and I can't download anymore plug ins, I do have a pc that I can install maschine on but I still want to use in on my mac as I do my mixing in logic, is it true I have to uninstall every.

The reason is we will change these settings temporarily. 2- Change the security to None (without password). 3- Disable 'Broadcast SSID' so that other people do not see your router name and accidentally pick and connect to it.

4- Note your router SSID name since you'll manually type it in your mac. 5- Then in your mac where it asks you to pick the wifi, using the cursor keys, go to the very bottom and hit enter to open the manual entry. 6- Enter the exact SSID name and leave the password blank and hit enter. It will work like magic. And you'll recover your Mac to first available operating system depending on its firmware. DO NOT FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR WIFI SETTINGS BACK TO ORIGINAL AS YOU HAVE IN STEP 1 WHEN DONE! I am having the same issue (can't connect to my wifi in internet recovery mode - it rejects my password) and found one of the replies to be not really true.

My utility (or internet recovery mode) does recognise lower case letters - thus not really true with the statement above ('It's because the utility fails to recognise anything other than uppercase text'). After having read the thread, I think my next step seems to be to connect my Mac to the modem with a cable.

However one tries to go around it, it is rather annoying. Hope Apple will fix this soon.
