This is not supposed to be a complete list but rather a good set of guidelines for software developers who are trying to add shortcuts to their applications. I would like to track down how a key knows to open an application. Is it in the registry or in a file. Where is this record kept. A person here using office does a ctrl alt and e or ALTGR and e and he gets spss coming up instead of the letter e with an acute or grav above it. The below relates to Word 2016 for Mac but also to a problem that previously existed in Word 2013 for Windows and now appears to have been fixed in that version. I posted this query previously in reply to a thread on the issue in the Word 2013 forum I am trying to edit an exam with marks set using a right tab set in the dialogue as part of a style. These tabs are not respected if I save the document as docx but if I save it as doc again they work again. See screenshots below. Thanks for the clarification. For tabs to the right of the right margin, Word 2010/2011 format gives you different results than Word 2013/2016/2016 for Mac.
