Word For Mac Lost Right Click Copy
Hi all, We're running Office 2007. Sometimes, if I am typing an e-mail in Outlook, and I try to right click on a misspelled word to correct it, or to otherwise 'edit' it, I get a menu with my Outlook signatures listed, which lets me insert my signatures.
• Use the Finder to locate the file to which you want to add keywords. Free word search puzzle maker. • Right-click the file, and select Get Info from the pop-up menu.
Then, click Advanced in the left pane on the Word Options dialog box. In the Cut, copy, and paste section, uncheck the Show Paste Options button when content is pasted box. I have used Microsoft Word for windows for years and just switched over to a Mac. Is it just my Word for Mac version or is there no right-click drop-down menu with all the quick shortcuts like font, undo, group objects, cut, copy, etc?
The menu does not have the regular 'Edit' commands that should come up. It seems 'random' but I can't really pinpoint what might be causing this. Probably semi-related.but it also seems that the auto-spell checker sometimes doesn't work when composing e-mails. I can purposely misspell a word and it won't get the red correction line under it (or auto corrected). But if I click the spell check button, it will find the errors. Again, seems 'random' but I can't figure it out. I do use a VBS script to auto-generate user signatures from their AD information.maybe this has something to do with it?
Thanks in advance for any assistance! I'm not sure if this is quite what you mean, but right-clicking on the Signature itself will bring up the menu of Outlook signatures that you mentioned. It shouldn't come up when right-clicking on the e-mail body. If you type a word incorrectly in the area defined as the Signature, then right-clicking will bring up the Outlook signatures menu and not the spellcheck menu as expected. So maybe the VBS script is somehow setting the Signature area to be too large, so when a user starts typing where it looks to be before the Signature, it's actually within the Signature. That's my best guess as we don't use.vbs scripts, but add the signatures after the e-mail is sent, using information in AD.

This bug has been driving me crazy for a long time. This discussion is the only one I've found that really identified the problem.
It appears to me that if you don't have a 'reply to' signature setup, the whole body of the reply turns into the signature. This is why the whole email gets replaced when you insert a signature. I've found a workaround involving just creating a simple signature consisting of: 'Thanks, TcpIp' And then set this signature to be the default reply signature.
